I am 24 years old and I live and work in Nottingham, which is slap bang in the middle of England.

My current job role involves SEO, copy writing, a bit of online marketing, usability and drinking lots of tea.  I’ve worked there nearly two years now and it’s a lot of fun.  I get to tweak pages, watch them jump up the rankings and convert more sales too as a result of my efforts.

I had no former experience in SEO, copy writing, online marketing or usability before I gained employment, so after two years of learning I’ve decided to start writing this blog to help others wanting to learn what I have.  I also type up reviews of things I’ve read and things I’ve used (like apps, programmes, etc).

These are things I have and like:

I have a Miniature Schnauzer named Archie.  He’s a 2-year-old fluffy, smelly, bouncy dog that snores very loudly but gives me nice cuddles.

I’m an apple fan girl with a lovely shiny Macbook Pro in my possession, and soon I’ll be getting an iPhone.

I also have my lovely car, which I got five months ago.  His name is Harris and he’s a Toyota Yaris.  (No co-incidence that it rhymes.)

I’m a huge Doctor Who fan and I’ve obsessively watched my DVD collection over and over and over and over.

I love reading books – I’ve just finished Dom Sagolla’s 140 Characters: A Style Guide for the Short Form’, Jarrett & Gaffney’s ‘Designing Web Forms for Usability’ and Joshua Porter’s ‘Designing for the Social Web.’  I’m currently reading Joseph Jaffe’s ‘Join the Conversation.’  I’m going to be posting my reviews here very soon.
